Children and teens
I believe therapy works best when children and teens feel safe, understood, and comfortable being themselves. I use an individualized, strengths-based approach, meeting each client where they are and tailoring our work to their unique personality, needs, and goals.
I strive to create a warm and welcoming space where kids and teens can explore big emotions, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and better understand themselves. Whether they are navigating anxiety, school stress, relationships, self-esteem, or difficult life changes, my goal is to help them feel supported as they grow.
I also recognize that reaching out for therapy can feel uncertain for both kids and parents. You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting started. I’m here to listen, understand, and walk alongside your child and family throughout the process.
Therapy with me is a space where you can show up just as you are. With children and teens, I focus on building trust and creating a comfortable environment where therapy doesn’t feel intimidating or like another place they have to “get it right.”
Sessions may include talking, creative activities, games, practicing coping skills, or exploring emotions and experiences in ways that feel natural for each client. We’ll work together to build on strengths, develop new skills, and find strategies that can be used outside of therapy.
I understand that every child and teen is different, so there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. I’ll meet your child where they are and adjust our work based on what helps them feel most comfortable, engaged, and supported.
